A school in Ankleshwar, Advait Vidhya Niketan has classes, hostel blocks, plaza, auditorium, library, canteen and administrative block. The classrooms are placed on the North South direction so as to receive only diffused light, and this concept has shaped the entire plan. Designed to stand in phases, the school is lifted to first floor and divided into 3 components. The auditorium occupies the ground floor with admin block on the front and an enclosed courtyard. The semi circular structure hosts pre-primary while the other blocks hosts primary, secondary and higher secondary. The linear corridors between the blocks open up into an amphitheatre. A large plaza for assemblies and gatherings is surrounded on all sides, thus staying shaded from the sun. Made lavishly in exposed RCC and brick, the structure is lucid and climate responsive.
